| Habitants of Lubinja ready for mobilization |

Lubinje e Epërme - Prizren, June – In Lubinje e Epërme of Prizren, where FIQ and Saferworld developed the project of community safety from the September of last year until spring this year, the electric energy network was repaired with the request of the community. Our organizations in this village have given a micro-grant for the repair of the electric energy network, since the old columns were a danger to tens of houses over which the network passed. In this activity, the community has shown a satisfactory mobilization level and KEK, responsible for the repairs, has proven irresponsibility in doing their tasks. Members of Bosnian minority community, represented by the Community Council together with FIQ and Saferworld, including the partner organization from Prizren, Council for Peace and Human Rights, have made pressure to institutions to increase their attention for this community. They have compiled and addressed other requests in the municipal sector for public services, in order to have road mirrors in the road of the village, and also to have zebra crossings and other signs for stopping parking in the main road of the village, which were also supported. The project for increasing community safety is part of FIQ’s and Saferworld’s program “SafePlace”, supported by the German government. |
