Forum for Security

The Forum for Civic Initiatives (FIQ) has, in partnership with Kosovar Centre for Security Studies (KCSS) in June 2010, established the Security Forum (SF). Establishment of the SF has been ensured by Saferworld as part of the “SafePlace” programme funded by German and British Governments.

Since January 2011, the SF has ensured support also from the Balkan Trust for Democracy (BTD), which in addition to activities of the forum, has also supported a design for the forum webpage.

The Security Forum aims at serving as a discussion platform among civil society organisations and security institutions in Kosovo. It aims at promoting communication and policy studies in the field of security/safety by providing concrete recommendations on how to improve it.

The Security Forum also aims at providing possibilities for exchange of experiences in security/safety matters also among countries of the Western Balkans and Europe.
