Public oversight of the rule of law

In cooperation with seven other non-governmental organizations from different municipalities of Kosovo, FCI implements the project “Increasing of public oversight in the rule of law in Kosovo”, funded by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED). The purpose of this project is to influence the functioning of the institutional mechanisms of accountability and involve citizens in evaluating the functioning of security and justice institutions. On the security sector, the project addresses issues in the field of organized crime (trafficking in persons, economic and financial crimes, and combating narcotic substances), while in the field of justice, the project focuses on providing access to justice for citizens and on the development of the justice institutions. The justice component is implemented in cooperation with the Kosovo Institute for Justice (KIJ). The work on this project includes the drafting of research and analysis, organization of public debates, and continued advocacy to institutions, NGOs and media.
